The first exposure to the reality of Clergy sexual abuse arose in the late 1980's.

The second epidemic of clergy sexual abuse was reveled in 2002 by the Boston Globe who exposed the cover-up still occurring within all the United States.

Now in the year 2007 we must remain focused on the future and understand that we are responsible for the safety of our children and young adults within our community.

Your donations to our Ministry will help support those individuals who are from within the Worcester Diocese, but receive no assistance from the Office of Healing.

Your donations will insure that in the Worcester Diocese, those who have suffered will have a safe place to seek resources without fear.

Your donations will also help to maintain a historical achieves in hope that the past is never allowed to repeat itself

Since 2002 the Worcester Voice has provided spiritual, social, and legal resources to one hundred and fifty three (153) individuals from within the Worcester Diocese.

A request for a monthly stipend was sent to Worcester Bishop Robert McManus to continue to assist those who have suffered.

Bishop McManus replied the Diocese of Worcester is not in a position to comply with the stipend request.

We ask you send your donation directly to the Worcester Voice to help those who have been abused. Your Parish will be notified of your donation if you so choose.

Currently the Office of Healing has a budget of $124.000 dollars, yet very little is spent on individual counseling for some of the twenty one (21) individuals they have serviced since 2002.
