Dear Members of the Seeds of Hope,
In regard to a phone call placed on
Saturday night at 9:44PM, a male voice identified
himself as a member of the Seeds of Hope but refused to
identify himself for fear of being publicized on the
internet.
The incoming phone number 413-782-0590
was identified as Neil Harrington’s yet this number is
listed as the phone number to the Seeds of Hope.
I have now two more questions I am
additionally requesting to be answered: “Why is this
phone number not listed in the name Seeds of Hope Inc.?
Secondly, while we know this phone is located at 33
Garland Street, Neil Harrington’s home; why did Neil
fail to place the call when he is represented as the
“head” of the Seeds of Hope and when it was Neil himself
who desired to be in direct contact with me?
I was surprised and taken back that you,
supposedly an informed member representing the
Seeds of
Hope contacted me without any prior knowledge of Neil’s
request to speak to the Worcester Voice. Your excuse of
Neil being too busy as a reason for his failure to
inform you furthers the point that the members of the
Seeds of Hope are not knowledgeable of Neil’s actions.
Further after stating you had read the articles about
Neil on the Voice web site, you admitted that you had
not listened to the message clearly posted at the
beginning of the article.
I also found the timing of the phone call
to be less than professional, but in the spirit of God’s
openness and concern for all I received your phone
call.
I hope we are in agreement (I am
referencing our forty-five minute conversation) that the
Seeds of Hope will supply to the Worcester Voice various
documents in regards to letter of request date October
3, 2007. This letter was sent based on a message that
Neil Harrington left on September 22, 2007 stating he
wanted to present his side of his story. The audio of
this message is available on the Voice web site.
Items currently in question:
Documentation supplied by the Office of
the Secretary of State showing the current “bad
standing” of the Seeds of Hope has been removed. Though
Seeds of Hope are incorporated and a non-profit and
listed as such Seeds of Hope is NOT IN GOOD STANDING FOR
FAILURE TO FILE WITH THE STATE SINCE 2001. Please
provide documentation indicating Seeds of Hope filed
yearly since 2001.
Your statement that the Attorney General
stated Seeds of Hope was in good standing is erroneous.
Such filings are conducted with the Office of Secretary
of State, William Gavin.
Documentation from the Federal
Government, Department of Internal Revenue Service which
displays the granting of a “tax exempt status” for the
Seeds of Hope.
Transparent financial disclosure as to
the organization assisting homeless that were given
funds as listed as purpose in the eleven page
incorporation filing with the State of Massachusetts.
Bank statement for the month of April and
May 2006 after trip to Louisiana as your presentation in
our telephone conversation was that the Seeds of Hope
did not take $7,000 in donations home to Massachusetts
from this trip.
Proof via plane ticket, or itinerary and
a letter from the Bishop of Springfield or Houma
Louisiana granting permission to Fr. Gerald Hayes to
conduct the 2007 Pentecost Eucharist celebration in
Neil’s home.
Clarification of the statement that this
unidentified caller who stated he knows of “hundreds of
priests who have been falsely accused of sexual abuse”
when asked directly no names could be identified.
As I informed you, eleven individuals
have come forward regarding allegations of sexual abuse
by John Szantyr spanning thirty years from three
different States.
Yes, we welcome John Szantyr to stand
trial however it was John Szantyr who fled Worcester
County in 1988 when the accusations of sexual abuse
first surfaced. It has been John Szantyr who has
postponed the trial under a guise of being incompetent
since 2004.
John Szantyr has also been Neil’s
spiritual director since 1994 and the fact Neil had a
spiritual director before this date is really an
irrelevant point. Your statement in regards to this
further illustrates an attempt to twist facts in order
to avoid accountability.
Agreement to allow outside testing of
alleged tears which have been publicly stated by Neil
Harrington in regards to his Blessed Virgin Mary
statue.
For clarification the Worcester Voice had
never stated that Tuesday night prayer cenacles did not
continue in Enfield CT. Neil continued a Thursday night
prayer meeting in his home after the agreement of 1998
with the Hartford Diocese not to disseminate any of his
messages which was attended by the members of the Seeds
of Hope that Neil claimed were chosen by heaven. I do
agree no formal conclusion was issued by the commission
due to the fact Neil made this agreement. Any attempt to
misstate the conclusion of this commission would be in
direct contradiction to the teaching of Our Lord Jesus
Christ.
Once public newspaper articles are
written, and once statements are made publicly in
regards to mystical phenomena, all this becomes your
duty to present transparent documentation in regards to
such claims.
Please see to it in the future that any
communications initiated are made during appropriate
business hours and are not the product of an attempt to
make deceitful statements or to mislead those who were
not parties to this call.
One in our Lord Jesus Christ
