Judges’ ruling of January 8th revels John Szantyr was in
Harrington home on Pentecost Sunday 07.
Neil Harington Jr. reports according
to a ruling issued by Worcester District Court Judge
David Riccicandione that in fact the last time Neil
Harrington hosted John Szantyr in his home was on
Pentecost Sunday, May 27, 2007.
This is in direct contradiction of
statements Neil and his Seeds of Hope organization has
made to the media, the Worcester Voice and the Diocese
of Springfield.
This misrepresentation occurred on
several occasions when it was recently revealed Neil and
his Seeds of Hope organization had been presenting Fr
John as he likes to be called as a Catholic priest "in
good standing". In fact this charade by Neil Harrington
Jr. and Fr John has going on since 1994.
Neil Harrington Jr. also promoted
children, young adolescents as well as adults to
attend confession in an isolated bedroom upstairs with
Fr John in his home unsupervised.
October 7, 2007 the
Voice received an anonymous call from the Harrington
home while Neil listened on a speaker phone in the so - called
chapel the on third floor. This “Seeds” member claimed in
fact Fr John was not in the Harrington home Pentecost
2007.
The anonymous caller identified
Fr
Gerald Hayes a retired Catholic priest from
Louisiana as the actual celebrant of the Mass on May 27,
2007. Fr Bill Pomeleau according to Vic Valois stated
the celebration itself in Neil Harrington’s home was an
illicit Mass because the Catholic Church does not allow
a Mass to be said in a private home on a Sunday or any
other holy day of obligation in group form when a
Catholic church is readily available.
In a September 28, 2007 interview
conducted by Worcester TV
station channel 3’s, Jennifer Egan, Neil stated he
he could not remember
the last time Fr John conducted services in his home.
Both Vic Valois and
William Fortin have stated they witnessed on June 4,
2006 Fr John performing the Pentecost Mass in Neil’s home.
In fact many have stated that Fr John has been the only
celebrant of the annual Pentecost service Neil has hosted in
his home since 1998.
In a November 2, 2007
Catholic Observer article, which is the official
newspaper for the Springfield Diocese written by Fr Bill
Pomerleau and Terence Hegarty. Neil is quoted as stating
“Father Szantyr hasn't taken part in any Seeds of Hope
ministry for probably five years.”
According to Judge
Ricciardone’s ruling retired
Louisiana Attorney, Joseph Waitz claims he observed Fr
John (Szantyr) say Mass in February 2006 or 2007 (he was
unsure of the year) either year this would have been
after the September 12, 2006 ruling by Worcester
District Court Judge Dennis Brennan that the defendant
John Szantry was incompetent to
stand trial.
Mark E. Dupont, diocesan
spokesman, for the Diocese of
Springfield when asked Monday, January 7 as to the
status of the investigation involving Neil Harrington’s
claim to be a
visionary and his Seeds of Hope organization stated
in his opinion the Springfield investigation should be
completed within the next week or two. Mr. DuPont also
stated that Bishop Timothy McDonnell will issue an
official ruling regarding their determination.
Since the public
attention focused on Neil Harrington Jr. and his Seeds
of Hope organization they have made no public claim to
his so called Rosa Mystica Blessed Virgin Mary statue
weeping.
During the Harford
Commission investigation in 1995 Neil’s Rosa Mystica
Blessed Virgin Mary statue also
stopped
weeping then. Once the media attention diminished,
the statue was once again projected by Neil to weep. No
test of the actual so - called tears has ever been allowed
to occur by Neil Harrington Jr.
If Neil was in fact a
true visionary and his mission were to bring people back
to God, why would he ever mislead anyone?

Monsignor Thomas Sullivan may
be witness for the Commonwealth in Szantyr case.
Yesterday in
open court ADA Joseph Reilly III informed Judge David
Ricciardone that in fact Worcester Diocesan Chancellor
Monsignor Thomas Sullivan may be called to the witness stand
during the scheduled competency hearing regarding Fr John J. Szantyr.
This would be
the first time since the 2002 clergy sexual abuse crisis
broke that any official from the Diocese of Worcester would
be compelled to testify under oath in a criminal trial about activities
concerning clergy sexual abuse in Worcester.
Unlike
neighboring Boston or Springfield Diocese, no group clergy
abuse civil settlements were arranged in the Worcester
diocese. The Worcester Diocese instead chose to attack
legally the claims of those who came forth after 2002 with
allegations of sexual abuse. Cases were settled
individually while the Worcester Diocese claimed the
charitable immunity clause limiting the amount of the cash
settlement for a non - profit to be capped at twenty thousand
dollars. Most reported settlements were roughly ten
thousand dollars with one case involving two separate claims
was settled for almost twenty thousand dollars. With
the lack of availability for large legal fees most Boston
lawyers declined to take clergy sexual abuse cases in
Worcester.
Not one
Worcester Diocese priest who had sexual abuse allegations
faced a criminal trial based on the 2002 grand jury subpoena
issued by former DA John Conte. Former DA Conte never deployed the Massachusetts State police to investigate
and or obtain Worcester clergy personal records. Instead
former DA Conte sent his brother in law, first ADA Jim Reagon to the chancery to receive the records in hand.
Worcester TV
Channel three reporter, Jennifer Eagan covered the John J.
Szantyr criminal case last
night during the six o'clock news hour. During her interview
with defense Attorney Edward Rayn Jr., Attorney Ryan brings
to light questions of visions of the Blessed Virgin
Mary and burning crosses on individuals forehead as reason to question
the credibility of some of the civilian witnesses that the
Commonwealth may possibly request to testify. These
individuals are known associates of Fr John J. Szantyr.
It has been
the position of Fr John Szantyr that he has seen the Blessed
Virgin Mary during his career as a Priest. John Szantyr has
further associated since 1994 and dressed as a priest after
his faculties were removed by the Catholic Church with the
Springfield based Seeds of Hope group. This group formed
around the so called vision of the Blessed Virgin Mary by
Neil Harrington Jr. Mr. Harrington is currently under
investigation by the diocese of Springfield based on the
numerous complaints lodged to Bishop McDonnell of Springfield.
Neil
Harrington originally received media notice when he claimed
a Blessed Virgin Mary statue that had been give to him as a
birthday present by Fr John Szantyr began to weep in the
Enfield CT home of his parents on May 2, 1994. When the
dioceses of Hartford investigated Neil's claims, the Blessed
Virgin Mary statue did not weep for the first time in over
a year during the weekly prayer cenacles. Neil claimed no
supernatural events occurred due to the unbelief of the
priest in the Hartford Commission.
Previous to
the night the Hartford Commission visited Enfield, Neil claimed for
over a year during the Tuesday night prayer cenacles he would
have an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She would
give him a message and her statue would weep. In addition
the scent of roses was noticeable within and around
the Enfield house.
